The most commonly used solution is 30% Acr-Bis (29:1), which is an aqueous solution containing 30% Acrylamide Bisacarylamide. The ratio of Acrylamide to Bisacrylamide is 29:1, and the total proportion of acrylamide is 30%.

Acrylamide/Bis 29:1 is often used to prepare acrylamide gel (PAGE gel), including SDS-PAGE gel, etc. It can be used for the separation of protein or nucleic acid, and is a common stock solution in the laboratory.
