Description

This kit uses real-time fluorescence PCR detection technology to achieve qualitative detection of rotavirus in fecal samples by using a pair of specific primers and a specific fluorescent probe in the conserved region of the rotavirus gene. This kit sets Internal control, to monitor the presence of PCR inhibitors in the samples by detecting whether the internal control is normal, so as to avoid PCR false negative result.

Application

This kit is suitable for the qualitative detection of rotavirus virus nucleic acid in fecal samples in vitro.

The test results are used for auxiliary diagnosis of diseases caused by rotavirus. The test results are for clinical reference only and should not be used as the sole criterion for clinical diagnosis. It is recommended to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the condition in combination with the clinical manifestations of the patient and other laboratory tests.

Rotavirus is one of the main pathogens that cause diarrhea in infants and young children. It mainly infects the epithelial cells of the small intestine, causing cell damage and diarrhea. Rotavirus is prevalent in summer, autumn and winter every year. The infection route is fecal-oral. The clinical manifestations are acute gastroenteritis and osmotic diarrhea. The course of the disease is generally 6-7 days, with fever lasting 1-2 days, vomiting for 2 to 3 days, diarrhea for 5 days, and severe dehydration symptoms.
