Description
Simian Immunodeficiency Virus (SIV) is an RNA virus, and in many cases, SIV infection of its natural host is not pathogenic. Extensive research on white crowned white browed monkeys has confirmed that even if SIVsmm virus infects these animals and the circulating viral load is high, it will not cause them to contract any diseases. However, if the virus infects ordinary macaques in Asia or India, it will develop into monkey AIDS (SAIDS) in the later stage of infection. Therefore, the rapid and accurate identification of the monkey immunodeficiency virus plays an important role in the prevention and quarantine of this disease.
Application
This product is a specialized reagent kit developed based on probe based fluorescence quantitative RT-PCR technology for detecting monkey immunodeficiency virus types. It has the following characteristics:
- Ready to use, users only need to provide sample RNA templates.
- Primers and probes have been optimized for high analytical sensitivity.
- Provide a positive control to distinguish false negative samples.
- High specificity, the primers are designed based on the highly conserved region of the monkey immunodeficiency virus and will not cross react with the RNA of other viruses.
- It can be used for both qualitative and quantitative testing. When used for quantitative detection, the linear range should be at least 5 orders of magnitude.
- This product is sufficient for 50 probe based fluorescence quantitative RT-PCR reactions in a 20μL system.
- This product can only be used for scientific research.
