Description
This kit uses TaqMan probe method for real-time fluorescence PCR technology, designs a pair of leprosy bacillus specific primers, combines with a specific probe, and uses fluorescence PCR technology to amplify and detect the nucleic acid of leprosy bacillus in vitro, which is used for pathogen diagnosis of suspected infectious materials in clinical practice.
Application
Mycobacterium leprae, commonly known as leprosy bacilli, causes leprosy and is a chronic infectious disease. Leprosy mainly affects the skin, peripheral nerves, upper respiratory mucosa, and eyes, and can cause progressive permanent damage to the skin, nerves, limbs, and eyes, leading to disability.
This kit is suitable for detecting Mycobacterium leprae in nasopharyngeal swabs and other samples, and is used for auxiliary diagnosis of Mycobacterium leprae infection.
Specimen collection
When collecting nasopharyngeal swabs from patients, specialized sampling swabs should be used to moderately wipe the posterior pharyngeal wall and bilateral tonsils, avoiding contact with the tongue; Quickly place the swab into the specimen collection tube, tighten the tube cap and seal it to prevent drying.
