Description
This kit utilizes the TaqMan probe-based real-time fluorescent PCR technique. A pair of specific primers and a corresponding specific probe are designed targeting the Bar gene sequence to amplify and detect the DNA of the Bar gene in vitro by fluorescent PCR, so as to achieve rapid detection.
Application
Bar gene (Bialaphos resistance gene) is derived from Streptomyces hygroscopicus and encodes phosphinothricin acetyltransferase (PAT). This enzyme confers tolerance to the herbicide glufosinate- ammonium and is widely used in the modification of rice, soybean, corn, wheat and other crops to generate glufosinate- resistant varieties.
This kit is suitable for the detection of the Bar gene in transgenic plants and is used to screen for the presence of Bar in plant samples.
