Description
This kit uses TaqMan probe method for real-time fluorescence PCR technology. A pair of bovine reovirus specific primers are designed and combined with a specific probe. The RNA of bovine reovirus is amplified and detected in vitro using fluorescence PCR technology, which is used for pathogen diagnosis of suspected infected individuals in clinical practice.
Application
The genus of reovirus includes mammalian reovirus and avian reovirus. The viral genome is segmented double stranded RNA. Mammalian reovirus mainly infects the respiratory and digestive tracts of humans, pigs, cows, dogs, and others. At present, it is widely believed that the pathogenicity of reovirus mainly manifests in its auxiliary or promoting effects on some respiratory and digestive diseases. The specific pathogenicity is unknown, and the vast majority of mammalian infections with reovirus are asymptomatic.
This kit is suitable for detecting bovine reovirus RNA in intestinal mucosa, mesenteric lymph node tissue, excreta and other specimens of cattle, and is suitable for auxiliary diagnosis of bovine reovirus infection.
