Description
The kit employs the double-antibody sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Pre-coated microplates with matrix metalloproteinase 9 (MMP-9) antibodies are sequentially treated with samples, standards, and HRP-labeled detection antibodies, followed by incubation and thorough washing. The substrate TMB is used for color development, where TMB is converted to a blue color under peroxidase catalysis and further transformed into a final yellow color under acidic conditions. The intensity of the color is directly proportional to the concentration of matrix metalloproteinase 9 (MMP-9) in the sample. The absorbance (OD value) is measured at a wavelength of 450 nm using a microplate reader, and the sample concentration is calculated accordingly.
