Description
This kit designs specific primers and fluorescent probes targeting Neisseria meningitidis serogroup W135.Fluorescent PCR technology is used for the in vitro amplification and detection of its DNA, enabling etiological diagnosis of clinically suspected infected specimens. The kit is provided with an Internal Control(IC), which can monitor whether there is PCR inhibitor in the sample to be tested by detecting whether the internal control is normal or not, so as to avoid false negative PCR.
Application
Neisseria meningitidis (NM) is an exclusive human pathogen that mainly causes epidemic cerebrospinal meningitis and septicemia, with high morbidity and mortality.
Based on capsular polysaccharide antigens, Neisseria meningitidis can be divided into 13 serogroups. Among them, serogroups A, B and C are the most prevalent, accounting for approximately 90% of cases, while serogroup W135 accounts for less than 5%.Nevertheless, detection of serogroup W135 strains cannot be neglected.
This kit is intended for the detection of Neisseria meningitidis serogroup W135 in samples including cerebrospinal fluid, exudate from hemorrhagic ecchymosis, and nasopharyngeal swabs, and is used for the auxiliary diagnosis of infections caused by Neisseria meningitidis serogroup W135.
Applicable instruments
Real-time fluorescence PCR instrument with FAM and VIC channel.
