Description
This kit uses TaqMan probe-based real-time fluorescence PCR technology to design norovirus- and rotavirus-specific primers. Combined with specific probes, it uses fluorescence PCR technology to amplify and detect norovirus and rotavirus RNA in vitro for clinical etiological diagnosis of suspected infection. This kit sets Internal control, to monitor the presence of PCR inhibitors in the samples by detecting whether the internal control is normal, so as to avoid PCR false negative result.
Application
Norovirus (NV) is a general term for viruses of the genus Norovirus in the family Calicivirus (CV). It is a zoonotic pathogen that can cause acute gastroenteritis and severe diarrhea in humans and a variety of animals worldwide. It is also an important foodborne disease pathogen. The spread of Norovirus not only poses a serious threat to human health, but also causes huge social and economic losses.
Human rotavirus belongs to groups A, B, and C. These three groups of viruses can infect both humans and animals. Rotaviruses are primarily transmitted through fecal-oral transmission, but can also be spread through human-to-human contact, including contaminated food and water. Symptoms of infection include fever, vomiting, abdominal pain, and diarrhea.
This kit is suitable for detecting rotavirus and norovirus RNA in the feces of patients suspected of infection, and is suitable for the auxiliary diagnosis of rotavirus group A & group B & group C, and norovirus type 1 & type 2 universal infection.
