Description
Bovine serum albumin, also known as Bovine Albumin or Cohn Fraction V, abbreviated as BSA, is a type of globulin found in bovine serum. It contains 607 amino acid residues, has a molecular weight of 66.446 kDa, and an isoelectric point of 4.7. Bovine serum albumin has a wide range of applications in biochemical experiments and is commonly used as a blocking agent in immunological experiments, including ELISA and Western Blot. As carrier proteins, cross-linking them with haptens and other weak antigens can enhance their immunogenicity in antibody production. In restriction enzyme digestion reactions, BSA is often used as a reaction stabilizer for some enzymes and can prevent it from adhering to the tube wall and gun head. BSA is also commonly used in the production process of biopharmaceuticals or as a nutrient for cell and microbial culture. In addition, it is also used as a standard for protein quantification detection.
This product is imported biotechnology grade bovine serum albumin, which can meet the needs of most routine biological experiments, such as being used as an immune sealing agent, tissue cell culture additive, protein/enzyme stabilizer, and protein quantification standard.
