Description
This kit uses fluorescent PCR technology to design specific primers and specific fluorescent probes for Group B Streptococcus and conserved regions of human endogenous gene sequences, so as to achieve qualitative detection of Group B Streptococcus in infected cells of patients' genital tract secretions. The kit is provided with an Internal Control(IC), which can monitor whether there is PCR inhibitor in the sample to be tested by detecting whether the internal control is normal or not, so as to avoid false negative PCR.
Application
Streptococcus agalactiae, also known as Group B Streptococcus (GBS), is a Gram-positive streptococcus named after it was first isolated from cows with mastitis. It was subsequently isolated from pregnant women and newborns in various countries and can cause early-onset and late-onset infections in newborns. Streptococcus agalactiae has also been found in epidemics of various livestock and aquatic fish, so it has received widespread attention. The bacteria can cause sepsis and meningitis in animals and has a high mortality rate. This kit is suitable for detecting Group B Streptococcus DNA in infected cells of genital tract secretions.
